Maisie

17" handmade natural fibre doll using my Mabel pattern. She has cotton knit skin and is stuffed with Australian wool. Her face is hand embroidered using woollen thread.
Maisie has a brushed mohair crocheted wig and brown eyes.
She is wearing mostly hand knit woollen clothes apart from her red corduroy skirt.
Please browse the pictures to see details of her outfit. Her cardigan can be worn as a jumper by buttoning at the back.
Her cardigan and tshirt are secured with small mother of pearl buttons. Her shoes have small wooden buttons.
This doll and all her clothes are my own design apart from the hat which is based on a design by Simone Gooding.

Maisie is named for my aunt who passed away late last year aged 94. Maisie was a great maker of many different textile crafts throughout her long life.

This doll is a collectors doll and not intended for children.
